1. Introduction

CalcDock ("we," "our," or "us") operates calcdock.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using CalcDock, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Calculator Inputs — Not Collected

All calculator computations on CalcDock run entirely in your web browser. We do not collect, transmit, or store any values you enter into our calculators. Your financial data, personal measurements, dates, or any other inputs remain entirely on your device.

This means your loan amounts, income figures, health measurements, and dates are never sent to our servers and are never visible to us.

3. Information We Collect Automatically

Like most websites, we collect certain technical information automatically when you visit:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Pages visited and time spent
  • Referring URL (the page that linked to us)
  • General geographic location (country or region level, not precise location)
  • Device type (desktop, tablet, mobile)

This data is collected through standard web analytics services (such as Google Analytics) and is used in aggregate form to understand how CalcDock is used and to improve the site. It is not used to identify individual users.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

We use the following types of cookies and browser storage:

  • Essential/Functional: We use browser localStorage to remember your language preference. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics may set cookies to measure site traffic and usage patterns. These cookies collect anonymized data.
  • Advertising: Google AdSense and its partners may set cookies to serve and measure ads. These cookies may be used to show you relevant advertising across websites you visit.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of analytics and advertising but will not affect the calculators themselves.

5. Advertising — Google AdSense

CalcDock is free to use and may display advertisements served by Google AdSense and the Google Display Network. Google uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Google's advertising practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy and its advertising policies. You have the following choices:

  • Opt out of personalized ads: Visit google.com/settings/ads
  • Opt out via the Network Advertising Initiative: optout.networkadvertising.org
  • European users: You may see an ad consent dialog when visiting from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland. Declining personalized ads will result in non-personalized ads being shown instead.

6. EEA, UK, and Switzerland Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or equivalent legislation, including:

  • The right to access personal data we hold about you
  • The right to request correction or deletion of your personal data
  • The right to restrict or object to certain processing
  • The right to withdraw consent for advertising cookies

Our legal basis for processing analytics data is legitimate interest (improving and operating the site). Our legal basis for advertising cookies is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through your browser or the opt-out links above.

7. California Users (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion of personal information, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. CalcDock does not sell personal information. For analytics and advertising data, you may exercise your rights by contacting us through the Contact page.

8. Third-Party Services

CalcDock may use the following third-party services:

  • Google Analytics — website traffic and usage analytics
  • Google AdSense — advertising display and measurement
  • Cloudflare — content delivery, performance, and security

Each service is governed by its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them if you want to understand how they handle data.

9. Data Retention

We do not retain personally identifiable information. Analytics data collected through Google Analytics is retained according to Google's data retention settings, which we have configured to the minimum available period. If you submit a contact form, we retain your message only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry.

10. Children's Privacy

CalcDock is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this site, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
